JDM Food Group Innovation Centre
In 2024, Clarke Group Construction were invited to bid for the construction of JDM Food Group’s new Innovation Centre. Following a two-stage tender process and detailed development of the client’s concept designs, Clarke Group Construction were awarded the project under a design-and-build contract.
JDM Food Group’s Innovation Centre is a flagship development. Founded in 1999, JDM has been rooted in sourcing the finest ingredients, starting with garlic and ginger, to create flavours that elevate every dish. Location: Bicker, Lincolnshire
Project Timeline
October 2024: Disconnection and isolation of services in the existing office facilities.
November 2024: Demolition completed, and groundworks commenced.
May 2025: Completion and handover to the client.
The project encompassed a comprehensive range of construction and site management services, including:
- Full demolition of the existing two-storey masonry building.
- Design and construction of brand-new offices, new product development and presentation kitchens, including associated external works and drainage.
Clarke Group Construction combined in-house expertise with carefully selected specialist partners to deliver the project to the highest standards. Our groundworks and joinery teams ensured consistent quality throughout, while trusted sub-contractors supported specialist areas of the build, including:
- 15m-long steel cased piles
- Aluminium windows and external doors
- Brise soleil installation
- Suspended ceiling with integrated LED lighting
- Glazed internal partitions
- Bespoke Polyrey high-pressure laminate internal doors
- Planting of a wildflower meadow
- JDM-branded electric vehicle chargers
- 40kW solar PV installation
The official opening on 24 September 2025 marked the successful completion of the project for both Clarke Group Construction and JDM Food Group.
We are extremely proud of the finished Innovation Centre. It stands as a testament to what can be achieved through vision, teamwork, and dedication.
