SITE MANAGER - RESIDENTIAL

Due to sustained growth a fantastic opportunity has arisen to join our team as a Site Manager within our residential division; Clarke Group construct a range of different size and types of dwellings and are well known for delivering high quality homes.

The role will involve managing and overseeing the day to day running of housing projects from the start through to completion, ensuring that work is completed on time, safely, within budget and to a high standard.

The job role will include:

  • The responsibility for keeping detailed records using the site diary sheets.
  • Checking all deliveries for damage or shortages.
  • Collating all delivery and advice notes and returning to the regional office (Boston).
  • Assisting the Contracts Manager in the preparation of the construction programme of works and monitoring progress against the programme.
  • Attending regular design coordination meetings and sub-contractor coordination meetings. The Site Manager will then liaise with the Contracts Manager as to the sub-contractor’s progress of fully integrated works to allow the manage to value the works and sign off invoices.
  • Being responsible for the setting to work of all labour and sub-contractors.
  • Monitoring the quality of workmanship on site. Non-compliant and poor
    workmanship is to be raised with the tradesman for rectification.
  • Working with the Administration team and Contracts Managers to call off materials in accordance with the procurement schedules and construction programme.

Health and safety issues will be a top priority in this role. It will be the candidate’s responsibility to discharge health and safety obligations on site.

The Candidate will need to understand all aspects of the contracting process, technical building requirements and be commercially aware in relation to the housing sector. They will need to be able to establish strong working relationships with a wide range of people and be a team player. Good communication skills are essential as well as proven experience in a similar role. The candidate will need to be well-organised and capable of meeting
deadlines. Good maths and IT skills will also be required.

HNC or HND in a building or industry related subject would be beneficial. An SMSTS qualification and first aid qualification is crucial.

CONTRACTS/PROJECT MANAGER - RESIDENTIAL

Clarke Group are a well-established Construction Contractor based in Wyberton, Boston in Lincolnshire. Due to consistent growth within our housing division a brilliant opportunity has arisen for an experienced Residential Contracts/Projects Manager to join our team.

In this role the successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the housing division; Clarke Group construct a range of different size and types of dwellings and are well known for delivering high quality homes. They will be the first point contact for members of the public, clients, Site Managers and Sub-Contractors for the entirety of the project.

They will split their time between our regional office and site to ensure all objectives are being met; Health & safety, timescales, budget, quality etc.

They will be responsible for:

  • Generating the contract programme of works and monitoring progress against the programme, as well as producing regular progress reports for the Directors.
  • Leading design co-ordination and Sub-Contractor co-ordination meetings.
  • Procurement of all labour, plant, materials and sub-contractors – formulating accurate enquiries.
  • Keeping accurate cost analysis.
  • All elements of Health & Safety including checking the competency of the appointed sub-contractors, ensuring that risk assessments, method statements and other assessments are all received or generated in a timely manner.

The ideal candidate will be able to demonstrate industry and technical experience (particularly within the housing sector), the capacity to meet deadlines, be commercially aware and a team player with the ability to form strong working relationships with a variety
of people.

It would also be beneficial (although not essential) if the candidate has HNC or HND in a building or industry related subject along with an SMSTS qualification and first aid qualification.

CONTRACTS/PROJECT MANAGER - GENERAL CONSTRUCTION

SEMI-SKILLED SITE LABOURERS (GROUNDWORKS)

Due to consistent growth we are looking for Semi-Skilled Site Labourers with experience in groundworks to join our friendly team.

The role will involve carrying out general labouring duties supporting our groundworks team in the Lincolnshire area. The right person will have a can-do attitude and will be willing to support the team in a variety of tasks, good multi-tasking skills would also be beneficial. Experience of working on an active construction site is preferred.

EXPERIENCED WORKSHOP JOINER

Due to continued growth, an exciting opportunity has arisen to join our friendly team based in Wyberton, Boston. This is a full-time, permanent position in a fully fitted workshop.

The role will involve all aspects of manufacturing bespoke, purpose made joinery items to include and not limited to; stairs, windows and doors.

The ideal candidate will be a time-served Workshop Joiner. Formal qualifications are not necessary but an enthusiastic approach and positive attitude are essential.
